New York QSO Party log checker

Drop your ADIF or Cabrillo log. It fixes county, state and province abbreviations you approve, flags dupes and rule problems, and shows your score and the counties you still need. It runs in your browser; the log you drop or paste isn’t uploaded.

Point the page at a log file your logger keeps saving and it re-reads it on a timer, so the stats stay current while you operate. Your fix choices carry over.

What it checks
  1. Where it reads the exchange. SRX_STRING / STX_STRING first, then CNTY, STATE, VE_PROV or ARRL_SECT when the record is marked as an NYQP contact (those fields are often callbook lookups, so it says so). Signal reports are read from the exchange or RST_SENT/RST_RCVD.
  2. Counties. The 62 official NYQP abbreviations (for example CGO, MTG, NEW, RIC, SCO, SCU, STL). Full names, borough names (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island), common short forms, case and one-letter slips are mapped. Ambiguous ones such as NYC, LI, Delaware, Ontario, Washington and Wyoming are flagged for you to choose. “NY”, ENY, WNY, NNY and NLI are never valid from a NY station: NY stations send a county.
  3. States and provinces. Two-letter postal codes and the 13 Canadian provinces and territories. ARRL/RAC section names (EMA, SNJ, WPA, STX, ONS…) are mapped to their state or province. DC is counted for points but not as a multiplier, because the rules list 50 states.
  4. Rules. The contest period, 30/17/12 m, modes (digital only if it carries the full exchange; FT8, FT4 and similar are flagged), dupes per band and mode with a NY station’s county change making a new contact, and county-line contacts like DUT/PUT counted once per county. Entrants outside NY get no credit for non-NY stations, and those are marked rather than counted as errors.
  5. Score. (Phone×1 + CW×2 + digital×3) × multipliers. In NY: US states (NY counted from the first NY county) + NY counties + provinces, 125 max. Outside NY: NY counties, 62 max. No bonus stations.
  6. Privacy. Everything runs in this browser; a log you drop or paste isn’t uploaded. Fix choices and header fields are kept in this browser’s local storage.
